Oprah Winfrey, Barbara Walters bid for Pippa Middleton interview

Pippa Middleton is said to be at the center of a £300,000 ($470,000) bidding war to secure her first television interview.

Chatshow hosts Barbara Walters, Oprah Winfrey and Ellen DeGeneres are all interested in talking to the Duchess of Cambridge's sister, who is about to start promoting her party planning book.

Middleton landed a £400,000 ($630,000) book deal with Penguin back in November following a similar bidding war with rival publishing companies.

US TV bosses are apparently "pulling out all the stops" for an hour-long special with Middleton and consider her to be one of their "dream guests" for 2012.

Middleton, who has been on the cover of various US magazines, is expected to donate the interview fee to charity, according to the Sunday Mirror.

"The big guns see Pippa as the big-name interview of 2012. Oprah and Barbara Walters are hot on the case," a source said.

She split from her long-term boyfriend Alex Loudon last year after he deemed her unsuitable for marriage.
