Demi Moore "smoked something" prior to collapsing earlier this week, according to audio footage of a friend's 911 call.
The actress was rushed to a Los Angeles hospital on Monday (January 23). She was said to have been treated for "exhaustion", while other reports have suggested that she could be suffering from anorexia.
In a clip obtained by TMZ following Moore's departure from hospital on Thursday (January 26), a concerned individual can be heard telling operators that the 49-year-old is "semi conscious and barely breathing" after an "accidental" reaction to an unknown substance.
"She's smoked something. It's not marijuana but it's similar to incense and she's been having convulsions of some sort," the person says, adding later: "She's burning up. She smoked something."
The friend goes on to stress: "She's been having some issues lately with some other stuff. I don't know what she's been taking... I don't know, there's been some stuff recently that we're all just finding out."
It is established by the end of the phone call that Moore is "much calmer" and "breathing fine".
Moore separated from husband Ashton Kutcher last November. Sources have said that Kutcher is "deeply concerned" for his former partner's wellbeing.
