'Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1' tops $500 million worldwide
The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 has topped $500 million (£320 million) worldwide.
Summit Entertainment's latest installment of its hit vampire series has grossed $508 million (£327 million) in 12 days.
"We couldn't be more pleased with the success of this film and a franchise that the fans have continued to support over the past several years," said Summit's co-chairmen Rob Friedman and Patrick Wachsberger in a statement.
"Thank you to all involved with the films from the actors, filmmakers and Stephenie Meyer to the most important group of all, the global fanbase that continues to drive a desire for more Edward, Jacob and Bella."
Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner reprised their roles in the fourth movie in the series.
The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2 will premiere on November 16, 2012, bringing the series to a close.
