Kristen Wiig to leave 'Saturday Night Live'?
Kristen Wiig is reportedly considering leaving Saturday Night Live.
The Bridesmaids co-writer and star plans to exit the NBC sketch comedy series at the end of its current season in May 2012, a source told Showbiz 411.
Wiig joined the cast of SNL in November 2005 as a featured player and became a full cast member the following year.
She plays a number of recurring characters including the neurotic Target Lady, mischievous school girl Gilly and tongue-tied travel agent Judy Grimes.
Wiig is currently starring opposite Darren Criss and Annette Bening in the dark comedy Imogen, which is expected to be released in 2013.
Jon Hamm recently suggested that Wiig is unlikely to take part in a Bridesmaids sequel.
Saturday Night Live continues this weekend at 11.30/10.30c on NBC with returning guest host Ben Stiller and musical guest Foster the People.
